Travel & Lodging:
Services or parent commands are responsible for funding TDY/TAD for their candidates. TDY/TAD orders must authorize rental car for each student to enable the individual to travel to and from Naval Station Norfolk, hotel and assignment locations. All students are required to secure billeting at the designated hotel (Sheraton Norfolk Waterside). When securing billeting, be sure to inform lodging you are part of the 2017 DoD Visual Storytelling Workshop. Further information is available via the internet at www.dimoc.mil/workshop. Variations to orders must be authorized to all flexibility of workshop assignments.
Due to the nature of shooting assignments in the Norfolk area, civilian business casual (i.e. khakis and collared shirt) is the appropriate attire for the workshop. No military uniform is required or expected.
