FORT GEORGE G. MEADE, Maryland, –
The all-new website for the Defense Imagery Management Operations Center debuted April 26. The new site retains the familiar www.dimoc.mil URL.
The site, which is hosted by the American Forces Public Information Management System, or AFPIMS, underwent a complete content revision and reorganization starting in late 2017. In addition to the new look and content, DIMOC has established a news feed and is working on training videos to add to the site later in 2018.
“I think our many customers will find the site easier to use, cleaner and faster,” said DIMOC Director Barbara A. Burfeind.
"The webpage is a big part of our mission to make current and historic Visual Information, along with stories and policy, more accessible,” she said.
An email subscription service has also been added, in order to push important updates to the field, such as new editions of the Visual Information Style Guide, Eye on VI, and policy or procedural changes.
Future improvements will include more streamlined access to the Digital Visual Information Archive and expanded access to service-level Visual Information policy documents and training materials.
